OUT OF THIS WORLD!!
Hello again. I'm back to share a card I recently made with the Lawn Fawn stamp set called Out of This World. I love the cute little astronaut boy and the planets which are perfect for little boys card projects.
I first started by creating the galaxy background on some X-Press It Blending card and Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
The ink colours I used are Fossilized Amber (new Distress Oxide ink), Shaded Lilac, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord.
I started with the lighter shades (Fossilized Amber and Shaded Lilac) and simply blended the colours until I was happy with the result. I then spritzed some water on the paper and sprinkled some Zazz! to create a glittery sparkle to the background. It was a little hard to capture this in the photo but it does have a nice sparkle. I purchased the Zazz! product from a craft show many years ago and still have it in my stash. I don't know if it's still available but there are similar products on the market now that will produce the same result.
While my background was drying off, I stamped the cute images from Lawn Fawn Out of This World and coloured them with my copic markers.
Before assembling the images on my card, I decided to give my galaxy background piece more definition by blending some Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges. To finish off I stamped the sentiment directly on the background with Versafine Black Onyx ink and affixed the stamped images. The tiny stars are from a sticker sheet I had in my stash.
