WHERE CREATIVITY MEETS C9 - CHALLENGE #14
Welcome back. Today I have created a card to enter in the current challenge over at Concord & 9th which simply requires using Concord & 9th logo colours which are so pretty. I created this card for my friend's birthday coming up soon.
For the main focus of my card, I used the large floral image from a gorgeous Concord & 9th stamp set called Hello Lovely, and some sentiment stamps from Concord & 9th Flourish ("friend" word") and Happy Day ("happy birthday" words) stamp sets.
To begin, I placed all the stamps on my stamping positioner to work out where everything was going to be stamped. Once I was happy with the placement, I stamped all the images at once with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I chose to heat emboss everything to give a nice dark impression on my card.
For the colour stamping, I used Mama Elephant pigment inks: Fresh Mint, Rainwater, Pacific Blue, Ocean, Star Gazer and Dark Storm. While the inks were still wet, I sprinkled more clear embossing powder, heat embossed it then quickly sprinkled some Nuvo embossing powder (Gold Enchantment) and heat embossed it again. The brush stroke stamp I used was from an old set I have from Pink Paislee called Colour Wash.
It's hard to capture the result of the gold embossing in a photo but hopefully this will give a good impression of the beautiful result created by this technique. I stamped some "spotty" images from Hello Lovely stamp set and heat embossed using Nuvo Gold Enchantment embossing powder.
To complete my card, I added some Nuvo drops Blue Lagoon randomly to give a little extra sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by. Leave me a comment if you enjoyed this project!
