A BLESSED CHRISTMAS - Paper Smooches
Today I thought I should start making some Christmas cards because before we know it, it will be here ! I was on a bit of a roll and decided to make sets of three of each card.
For this card, I used a beautiful stamp set from Paper Smooches called A Blessed Christmas. There are several lovely religious images and sentiments in this set.
Firstly I created a mask for my card front using a Spellbinders Nesting Circle die and a scrap piece of card stock. I used this mask to create a background for my little scene.
Using Distress Inks (chipped sapphire, stormy sky, scattered straw) I made a sky and sandy background within the die cut circle.
This is what the finished "circle" backgrounds look like.
Using the Star and Holy City images from the stamp set, I heat embossed them on the background using Versamark ink pad and Zing Metallic Gold Embossing Powder.
Next I stamped the Holy Family image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used copic markers to do some simple colouring. Once finished, I fussy cut the images.
I attached the images to the front of the cards and stamped the sentiment, also from this set, in Versafine Onyx Black ink.
