SOME ODD GIRL - November Sketch Challenge - With a Twist!
I was surprised and thrilled to win a prize in last month's SOG challenge (top 3) and have created another card for this month's new challenge which is not just a Sketch Challenge but also adding a twist of using Fall Colours. With Christmas fast approaching, I decided to incorporate both the sketch and autumn colours in my card project.
Here is the sketch from the SOG Challenge blog:
I used my new Some Odd GIrl Digi stamp called Bright Lights Kaylee. She's very sweet and getting ready for the Festive Season with that string of Christmas lights.
I began by cutting all my background pieces from scrap patterned paper from my stash and printed the Digi Stamp ready to colour.
I coloured in Kaylee using Zig Clean Colour Waterbrush Markers and fussy cut her before attaching the image to the small patterned paper piece.
Then I assembled the background following the sketch above.
To complete the card, I used a sentiment from MFT JJngle All The Way stamp set and a pretty embellishment from Kaisercraft Sparklets "Rouge" set. I added sparkly highlights to the Christmas lights with Kaisercraft Glitter Gel Pens and added tiny red Kaisercraft Jewels..
Thanks for stopping by!
