WHERE CREATIVITY MEETS C9 - Challenge # 15 - CHRISTMAS
Of course I was excited to join in this challenge as Christmas is my favourite time of the year, especially when it comes to stamps and dies!! There are so many beautiful and cute stamp releases this year, its hard to choose.
For my entry in this challenge, I used a new Concord & 9th stamp set I recently purchased called Bits & Pieces. It's not really a Christmas set but when I saw the pretty little floral images I thought I could put a Festive twist to my card using this stamp set.
I started by stamping the background stripe stamp (top left) using Versamark ink and heat embossed using Zing Metallic Gold embossing powder.
Next I chose a few of the different floral and leaf images and stamped them randomly in the blank spaces within the stripes. I used a variety of different brand ink pads - Hero Arts Pale Tomato and Red Royal, My Favourite Things Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green and Mama Elephant Mojito and Fresh Mint.
For the sentiment I used the Concord & 9th die set called Season's of Cheer and cut it twice - one from white craft foam and one from red glitter card stock. I mounted the red glitter words on the white foam using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue. This gives the sentiment thickness and makes it "pop" on the card and stand out amongst the floral images.
Once I mounted the sentiment on my card panel, I adhered the card panel to the front of my card, and finished it off by adding some red sequins.
Hope you like my card. Thanks for visiting :)
