PINKFRESH STUDIO CHALLENGE - WATERCOLOURS - JULY 2018
Welcome back! I decided to enter the monthly Challenge over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog. When I think of watercolours and rainbows I immediately think of Unicorns!! So I incorporated the Challenge inspiration together with Pinkfresh Studio Magical Unicorn stamp and co-ordinating dies set to create this card.

To begin, I stamped the large and small floral starburst images from the stamp set onto a watercolour card base and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I created "watercolours" by smooshing Distress Inks onto my craft mat and spritzed with water. Using a water brush, I picked up the colours and applied to the embossed watercolour background. The embossed floral images "pop" once the watercolours are applied.

I dried this with a heat gun then sprayed with Tattered Angels Pearl glimmer mist to give a pretty shimmery shine to the background. Unfortunately this does not show up in the photos but in real life looks so pretty.

With the co-ordinating stamps and dies, I stamped the horn with Versamark ink pad and applied Nuvo Gold Enchantment Embossing Powder. This is my favourite gold embossing powder to use. It always gives such beautiful results. I stamped the eyelashes with Versafine Black Tuxedo ink pad and applied clear embossing powder before die cutting. For the ears I cut them out of scraps of glitter paper and adhered everything down including some pretty resin flowers from my stash.

To complete the card, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. I'm really happy with the end result. Hope you like it too!
